- Been trying hard to get my newly purchased A2410 to work with EGS. The
- seller sent me EGS 6.2, but someone else on the net suggested that I move
- up to 7.1.
-
- I deleted all the 6.2 software, and then installed 7.1. Rebooted the A3000,
- and no monitors saw any action (yes I changed the script bit on devs:monitors/egs).
- Once I installed the A2410 driver (A2410Origina from Aminet), I was then able
- to select the TIGA 800x600 screen. Having my A1080 (from my A1000) attached
- to my A3000 at the same time really helped me out.
-
- I would boot with the monitor set to NTSC:High Res Laced, and then after it
- completed booting, I would use the screenmode prefs to select the TIGA:800x600
- screen. The workbench screen would then reappear on the monitor connected to
- the A2410 - but would not draw completely, and eventually lock up (ie no cursor
- movement). Changing the A2410 prefs to 1024x768 and then rebooting again I
- selected TIGA:1024x768 on the screenmode prefs and the workbench was again
- drawn on the monitor attached to the A2410. I had a busy cursor for a while,
- and then the machine rebooted.
-
- I'm rather frustrated (and my wife thinks I'm nuts for continuing to try) with
- EGS. Any thoughts/ideas would be most useful.
